Frank [ Raffles Light ] 25-Feb-2009General reports of high entry fees in some ports with several officials onboard with their hands out for "propinas".
Howard [ Just Imagine ] 25-Feb-2009

You can now find the Dominican Republic Cruising Guide on its own official site!

New rules and regulations for Arrival and Departure makes is less expensive and easier to deal with the authorities. They still want "propina" but the real cost for a check in is 10 US p/p for a tourist card and 10 US for the boat.

Safe sailing!
