Mr. Sparkles (Laundry)

Call Mr. Sparkles on VHF. He will collect and deliver to the boat at anchor or in the marina.

Marigot Bay (Mooring)

Apparently mooring prices vary considerably (EC$55-EC$80) depending on which boat boy you talk to.

I saw a report that the anchorage to the left of the main bouyed channel is not good holding with a smooth rock bottom.

The Pitons (Anchorage)

I saw a recent report a report of new moorings available for EC$10 in 50 meters of water

Probably one of the most breathtaking anchorages in the world. Like two inverted icecream cones, the pitons tower above you on either side.

Drop the hook and swim a long line ashore, or give it to one of the many boat boys to take ashore.

The local boys can be quite a nuisance and can get quite nasty (like cutting your lines in the middle of the night) if you don't treat, at least one of them, right.

It is best to pick one of them and appoint him as your "agent" and pay him something to look after your lines, etc. The others seem to respect this and will stop bothering you if you tell them that "so-and so" is your man and you only deal through him.

Even though one does not like to give in to their aggressive tactics, it is really not worth spoiling this magnificent experience for the sake of a few dollars.
