I spent the day in Rome on my way home from Sibari.
I bought a tour bus ticket and toured the whole city in an afternoon.
There are several open top, double decker, hop-on-hop-off bus tours available and they all do much the same thing. Ask for a recommendation and directions at the hotel, or
google it here.

Tour Bus Stop (Bus)
I took the Ciao Roma open top Bus tour. The closest bus stop to the hotel was stop #12 next to Carrani Tours office. Via Vittorio Emanuaele Orlando 95 (Tel 064742501.) where I bought my all day pass for €19.
Buses pass every 30 minutes throughout the day, and you hop off and hop on wherever you please at all the major sites.
The bus supplies headphones with a tour commentary in several languages.

Hotel Brasile (Hotel)
The Sibari marina made a booking for me at the Hotel Brasile which was very conveniently located close to the train station and all the sights.
It cost about €100 for the night. I caught a taxi to the hotel( since I did not know where it was), but was able to walk to the train station the next morning with my bags to get the train to the airport.
The hotel address is 13 Via Palestro. Roma, 00185. Tel +39 064819486. email info@hotelbrasile.com.
